In reply, she told him that she had no family or friends to support her. She had lost her husband and son in a war, and her daughter had died of a disease. She had no home or job, and she had to beg for food and clothes. She said she was very lonely and sad, and she wished she had someone to talk to.

Arif felt sorry for the woman and decided to help her. He gave her some money and food that he had in his bag. He also offered to visit her every day after school and keep her company.
